Meet Sandra Bahrmasel
For JM Design Builders’ owner, Sandra Bahrmasel, the journey to starting a design + build firm was not a straight line. After college, she obtained her Masters in Counseling and Education. This degree has served her well in her current field as it helps to facilitate various relationships with clients and trades. After a brief career as a teacher she undertook a major home renovation and the rest is history.
The building process was so rewarding, Sandra decided to buy, renovate and sell homes for a living. After receiving her contractor's license, she opened her own firm and started doing the work that she realized she was born for. Her career as a house flipper was short-lived because word traveled fast and suddenly people were asking her to remodel and create new homes.
Over the past 25 + years, Sandra has built, remodeled and renovated many new houses, offices and apartment buildings. One thing remains the same - Sandra absolutely loves what she does and finds working with homeowners throughout the design/build process especially rewarding.
When Sandra is not working hard on her latest project, she loves spending time with her husband, children and four granddaughters. She is active in her community and even spearheaded the creation and maintenance of a gazebo in her hometown of Glencoe.
